my adult daughter wants her own apple id, as do i. she is saying in order to sign out of my apple id she needs my password, i dont want to give it out. is there a way to give her a passcode or something?? i went into itunes to remove her device and it says i have to wait 13 days as you can only change it once every 90 days???? any help?
The 90 day wait, happen when you switch Apple IDs and download a previous purchase or active subscription and associate the device with a new Apple ID, the previous one is now locked out for 90 days. It has nothing to do with removing the device from an Apple ID. Did you recently change Apple IDs? Otherwise, there seems to be some missing context here.

She is signing out of one ID on her device (actually you are doing it for her using the instructions that Phil0124 provided), and signing into a different one on that device. The device is being associated with a different account. That triggers a wait period for some very specific things. That's what that remaining 13 days wait means.
View and remove your devices that are associated with Apple ID purchases - Apple Support - Read "More about associated devices" at the end where it refers to the 90 day wait. This applies to re-downloading past purchases (you can make new purchases), automatic downloads, and iCloud based services such as Family Sharing, Match, and Apple Music.
She can sign in with her own account now. She just has to wait before being able to do some of the things listed in the support article to which I posted a link.
Ideally you and she should be doing the things listed in this article --> What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support That will remove all of your identity from the device and she will start with a like-new device. I suspect the wait period will also no longer apply.
She should be able to do it now. I guess I am unfamiliar with this 13 day waiting period you are mentioning.
Have her go to Settings > [your name] > Sign Out
You can then change your password.
She can then sign back in with her Apple ID or create a new Apple ID when signing in.
To sign out of an Apple ID you must have the password to the account.
does she need to wait the 13 days to do it? or can she do it now?
