Find my and someone’s battery life

Will someone’s iPhone battery life always display on Find My? Their location is seeming to update but sometime it doesn’t include battery life, why would that be?

Find My - Battery Drain Even When Not Running Like so many have reported over the last years, Find My drains battery. I have been lucky so far and it was not the case on any of my devices. Until recently. Now it appears as the ONLY app using the battery overnight on my iPhone 14 Pro. I switched Find My off in the phone settings (both in Apple Id and in Location Services) and made sure that the app itself was not running on the phone. Still, the battery drain has remained. The other Apple devices I have is an iPad Pro 11" (not showing Find My in the battery status at all and not losing almost any charge overnight), Mac Mini M2 Pro, two Apple Watches (4 and 7 series) and AirPods Pro 2. All the devices are running the latest versions of the respective OSs. Will appreciate any help for stopping this battery drain.

Find My is causing battery drain on iPhone 16 running iOS 26 I finally just gave up trying to disable the "find my" program that was draining my iPhone 16 on the latest iOS 26. Every time I think I've got it off, it comes back on and my battery drains, usually over night. And yes I did a full hard reset. So this morning I turned bluetooth off completely. Then I created an automation to always turn it off whenever it is not plugged in. It seems to be working great so far. In the end I think this is the only solution. I no longer think apple will ever fix or even acknowledge this has been happening since the original iOS 26 release.

That would be because battery life is not always displayed. It depends on the quality of the Find My connection. For example, the location display might be relying only a Bluetooth connection to the phone at the time.

In other words, it might be possible for the location to be displayed, but not the current battery status.
