Resetting iPhone 11 Prop Max questions

Hi, I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max and Im running out of space. With only 64Gb ive managed to fill up my phone with photos etc. what's the best way of removing these from my phone and not losing them permanently. might seem pretty basic but im paranoid now about losing pictures etc.
