Iphone camera reverts back to live photos,

Live photos are awful in an emergency. Yet the settings default to this. Would be really great if someone actually cared at apple about this. It is useless in an emergency. Between random lockouts, fussy camera settings, you have to get all the settings before the event has passed. I really hate Apple's inability to listen to things like this. People need cell phones for personal security more than ever. It needs to react fast. Not fussy.

edit: why not just give us a [expletive deleted] panic button to record everything in an emergency. Uhhhhhh DUHHHHH.

Settings > Camera > Preserve (Camera) Settings > Turn all on

This will save the camera's state (Live Photo on/off, color filters, exposure, etc) throughout launching and closing.

First, I agree Odawg132. Try that. It should fix it.

It is possible that it resets when you do an iOS update. Check after any updating to be sure.
