I have iPhone 14 Pro max out of warranty showed green screen after software update. Phone has no physical or water damage. I tried recovery, hard reset and update but still showing green screen. Apple Store wants $379 to replace screen and since it was after software update due to a bug should not Apple fix it for free?

If you have AppleCare+ for iPhone includes unlimited incidents of accidental damage protection. Each incident is subject to the service fees...

I think I know what happened. You did something wrong if you accidentally probably pressed the button and now you have a tell you what you have, but I don’t know how to fix it. You have the green screen of death I don’t know how to fix it so yeah
