I cannot collapse a desktop Stack of photos because they cover the entire screen.

I found a way to do it but is a pain because it is not consistent. As you noticed, the black square with the triangle to collapse the stack is hidden behind an icon. Interestingly, that particular icon to collapse, can move from the original location to another.

The key is to find where that icon is and be able to click the small edge that shows behind another icon. And clicking it doesn't always work on the first try. Sometimes it causes that icon to move (in my case to the top right corner location of the stacks). when it does not work, I click in the free space that does not have an icon, and try the black icon again. Sometimes works on the first try, others take 2-3 times.
