Apple Watch SE display not working

The display on my daughter’s Apple Watch SE has gone blank, yet I can still feel the haptics working when I touch the screen, was able to use the watch app on her phone to check it’s storage capacity, and was able to use “find my” to get the watch to play a sound.

Followed Apple support app advice to unpair (factory reset) the watch and now just getting orange horizontal lines across part of screen. I imagine the digitizer has failed… any ideas?
