How to back up Apple iPhone 14 for using I cloud

You don't need to lock your iPhone to do a "Backup Now." Just go to Settings > [username] > iCloud > iCloud Backup > and tap "Backup Now".


If you want it to backup automatically, insure that "Backup This iPhone" is turned on (in the same screen as above). It will then backup periodically while the phone is charging, connected to a wi-fi network and locked. You can lock it with the right side button or just let it lock itself based on the time you have chosen in Settings > Displayy & Brightness > Auto-Lock.
