I received a suspicious text about my Apple ID

I received a text msg saying that they noticed my Apple ID was recently used at an Apple Store and paid by apple pre pay. And there’s been suspicions on my acct. if not me then call and also put my acct on hold

  • Not sure of a legit "855" number for Apple.
  • "That looks like suspicious to us" - Poor grammar typical of scam message
  • "id" - Apple does not use lower case for Apple ID
  • "we have placed those request on hold" - Poor grammar typical of scam message


That whole thing looks like a phishing message to me trying to get you to call that number and provide your personal/financial information.
