Shared access to a Photos library - Accès partagé à une bibliothèque Photos

Bonjour,

Sorry, I don't speak enough English to write the description in that language. Have a nice day!

MacBook Air, macOS 14.6

It does not suffice to keep the shared library in the Shared folder.

Move the library to an external drive, where you can set the flag "Ignore ownership for this volume": With this flag enabled you can avoid the ownership problems and do not need to repair the library over and over again. The external drive needs to be prepared as described here: Déplacer votre photothèque afin de libérer de l’espace sur votre Mac – Assistance Apple (CA)

You cannot use a NAS for this, it needs to be a locally mounted volume.

Sorry, I do not speak French.

OK léonie! Thank you so much.

I will ask my wife if she consents to move the library to an exernal drive. She does not like to use such a drive. Hahaha!

By the way. Do you know where I can find documentation about the functions of the folder "Macintosh HD (root) > Bibliothèque", please? That would be very kind of you.

My very best regards,

Jacques

PS: eventually I dared to talk to you in English. Hahaha!
