Can’t add a person to my Photos app

The Photos app isn’t recognising my daughter’s face at all in any of my (hundreds!) of photos. When I click the info button on a photo of her there is no thumbnail at all. If it’s a photo of her and someone else, thumbnails show up for everyone except her. It recognises my son no problem, but not her. It means I can’t select her as a person in my Lock Screen photo shuffle background or easily find photos of her etc. Why is it not seeing her face?

Have you checked, if the photos with the face of your daughter have been addd to the album of another person, for example among the photos of your son?

You may want to check the albums of all other people if the there are photos of your daughter in the wrong album and remove them.

Yes, I did check as I thought they might have been mixed up with my son but they’re not. And you can tell because when I go to photos of just her and click the ‘i’ info button there’s no person thumbnail at all. As if it doesn’t see her face whatsoever.
