Apple Watch Series 10

Hello all, when I was watching the Apple Event yesterday I noticed that the Apple Watch Series 10 comes in two sizes, which is 42mm and 46mm. Part of me is intrigued on which Apple Watch to buy as I don't want to waste money by accidentally purchasing one with the wrong size. When I had an Apple Watch Series 1, the band sizes were 38mm and 42mm respectively, fast forward to 2024 and the 42mm still fits snug as a rug. However, when I made the jump to Series SE, I remember the sales associate who helped me saying that the smaller sizes are made for those with the 38mm in mind and the larger size are made for those who are 42mm in mind. Though to this day, I think that the sales associate said that to get me to get to the larger size.

With that in mind, I have to ask, if the 42mm band from my Apple Watch Series 1 still fits me should I get the the Series 10 42mm or 46mm?

Here's some information about wrist band compatibility between different Apple Watch models, which starts with the Apple Watch 3 and newer series. So the wrist band from your series 1 will not fit the Apple Watch 10, 46mm.

However, if you are unsure if the 46mm model will look and feel good on your wrist, visit an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Reseller and see if you can try one. Or make a template to compare the size on your wirst.
