Heavy memory leak with macOS Sonoma 14.6.1 on M2 Mac Mini

We operate two farms of M2 Mac Minis with macOS Sonoma 14.6.1 and 32 GB of RAM in two different data centers. Almost every day, we encounter the issue that the memory on one machine or another gets fully utilized. The Mac Minis are running various applications: 4D databases, TeamViewer, Activity Monitor, etc. The issue occurs with any one of these applications: within a few minutes, it starts consuming more and more memory until the system runs out of memory, and the application has to be force-quit.

The screen shot shows the Activity Monitor that used 120 GB and crashed.

Aktivitätsanzeige either has a memory leak, or it is just a memory hog.

If Aktivitätsanzeige is a macOS app, then contact Apple Support, or file a bug via an Apple Developer account.

If Aktivitätsanzeige is a 3rd party app, contact the vendor.

Also timeSensor seems to use lots of virtual memory and there is more than one, so even if all of them are using just a little memory, if you have a lot more than the 3 shown, that adds up.

I once had a system crash because I had over 100 of the same program each using 1GB. It adds up.

Often times,  the issue maybe a combination of Processes

When the computer is using so much CPU / Memory,  it can be an indicator of a Lack Of Empty Space on the Drive.

In which case, the CPU and Memory usage would become much more because it is searching for Empty Space to save all the Changes the user is performing.

To check for Used versus Empty Space suggest using Disk Utilities

That's German for "Activity Monitor".

Obviously this data centre is doing something unusual. Macs are consumer devices. It would be very difficult to find any of the 100+ million users with 120 GB of RAM usage in Activity Monitor. Yet it's a regular occurrence with this OP. Obviously, they are doing something unusual. But since no one else is experiencing this problem, it's on them to figure it out.
