Do I return the old Apple credit card in the UPS folder sent with the new Apple credit card?

There are no instructions about why the return package was sent.

Yep! It should have the prepaid shipping label on the package. Inside my cardboard package was a spot to place the card and said "Insert Previous Card Here", but of course they may have changed it.

Did you take it to a UPS store or were you able to just stick it in a mailbox?

I took mine to the UPS store as it is also a FedEx drop off site and the prepaid shipping label was a FedEx label. I have heard that the United States Postal Service (USPS) also accepts prepaid FedEx returns in the mailbox, but that is not what I did. According to the FedEx site you can do that:

Customers can drop off their return package at their local post office or postal collection box, or even leave it in their mailbox or on their front porch.
