How do I remove previous owner's Apple ID from the App Store?

I bought this phone from someone that said they reset it. Now even though I’m signed into my Apple ID I’m still unable to update any apps because their old Apple ID pops up. I have called customer support twice to fix it and it still doesn’t fix the problem. Help!

You will have to delete those apps, as they are tied to the Apple ID that has been used to download them, and this can not be changed.

Set your iPhone back to factory settings, which will erase all content, then use your Apple ID to set it up again:

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support


Did the previous owner disable the Activation Lock?

Only they can do that, if you don't know the password for the shown Apple ID during the setup process:
