iPhone is connected to Macbook but I can't see it in the Finder. How to back up?

I'm on an M2 Mac running Sonoma 14.6.1 (23G93)

I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max plugged into the computer via lightning cable to USB-C adapter. I can see the phone in Photos and successfully transferred photos.

However, I do not see the iPhone in the Finder. In Finder>Settings, I have all options checked for "Show these items on the Desktop" including, "Hard disks", "External disks", "CDs, DVDs, and iPods" and "Connected Servers".

I want to entirely back up my iPhone. How can I do this?

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 17
