lowering my monthly iphone purchase payment
If I make sizable lump sum payments in addition to my monthly payment, will this reduce my monthly iphone payment.

Are you referring to doing this with monthly installments via the Apple Card?
If so, no. You will still owe the same amount every month until paid off even if you make a larger than minimum payment at some point.
