iPad Mini Notes taken with an Apple Pencil; when viewing on iCloud the notes are so narrow they can't be read

When using an iPad Mini with an Apple Pencil to take notes, and then trying to view those notes on iCloud from a web browser the width of the notes are so narrow (about a 1/4 of normal width) that the notes just can't be read. There appears to be no way to zoom-in or read the notes. How do you fix this so the notes can be read on iCloud viewer? BTW, this doesn't happen when taking notes on a larger Apple iPad 10 for example, the notes taken there are full size and easy to read from the iCloud Notes web browser view. I want the option of using either device, especially the smaller and easier to carry Mini, but this makes it not as great when going back and organizing things on another device. Any suggestions or new approaches welcome, thanks!
