Microphone only works one way on my iPad

My Mike does not work in Papago, so I cannot record. Also, it does not work on Zoom. I can hear but no one can hear me. My screen has not been cleaned for a while. Could that be the problem?

iPad Air M2 Microphone not Working I own an iPad Air M2 for about a year and recently upgraded the softqare to 18.6. Since the update, the microphone on my iPad stopped working, I can no longer record a voice memo, utilize the speech-to-text, even asking Siri. I tried to use the dji mini mic to see if the problem lies on the hardware of the microphone, and it's still not working. I've also checked the app permissions in setting and I already turned them on. Weirdly, the microphone seems to work fine when I used it to record video or making Zoom calls, Facetime, or every app that requires me to use the camera. Please share it if you have the solution to this problem. Thank you so much.

An iPad has multiple microphones, used for different purposes. The location of the microphones differ between iPad models.

Are you using a fitted case or screen protector - as one or other may be obstructing one or more of the microphones. If applicable, try removing the case - and if necessary the screen protector.
