Compressor Error: The job could not be submitted because the cluster could not be found.

Hi Community

I get this error, when I click "start batch":


The job could not be submitted because the cluster could not be found.

The selected cluster may no longer be available on the network, or your computer may have lost its network connection to the cluster. Check your network connections and try again, or select a different cluster.

I have never done anything with clusters. I don't even understand, what it exactly is.

Go to Compressor->Settings and see what is there. Make sure that only “This Computer” is selected.

If the problem persists try deleting Compressor settings. To delete preferences, hold down command and option while starting the application and click Delete Custom Settings.

It is working again 🤩. It wasn't the VPN but it gave me an idea, what it could be. It was my adhoc network. Adhoc has been removed from the System Settings, but I've turned it on via Terminal. Maybe this is the reason, why it has been removed. I'm so happy, it's working again.
