Updating Business From 'Temporarily Closed' to 'Open' - VERY FRUSTRATED
Hello, I am writing on behalf of my 78-year-old boss regarding an issue with our status on Apple Maps.
6 months ago our small business had a fire and had to close. During that time, without our input, the business was listed as Temporarily Closed on Apple Maps. Now we are reopen and being made to jump thru, in my opinion, some ridiculous hoops to get ourselves updated to Open again. We have had multiple customers state they were hesitant to drop by because of this problem, we are losing business. My boss does not have the technical savvy or time or mental energy to jump thru the hoops as demanded by the process described online.
This is all incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I tried to call someone at Apple to help us and was shuffled around to four different departments before being dumped off the phone with an emailed link to the information already available online! How is it possible for Apple to be able to update as closed without us contacting them but somehow their hands are completely tied when it comes to us reopening? And it's saying it will take a couple DAYS for them to verify this information once we do contact them?? WE ARE LOSING BUSINESS, we cannot afford this. I am at my wits end WILL SOMEONE PLEASE HELP US??
The business is Rising Sun Produce in Seattle. Please, we just need assistance.
