Can not reset FaceID when Stolen Device Protection is ON

Hi nice community,

I have iPhone 15 pro max running on iOS 17.6.1

I shaved my face and my FaceID feature does not recognise it. I am not able to reset FaceID neither add an alternative face. Because the Stolen Device Protection was ON in the options. I am also not able to turn off Stolen Device Protection Option as it asks for the FaceID that was added before. I can’t use any password services, I can‘t reset or erase iPhone because it requires FaceID.

Did anyone faced this issue? Please guide me.

If your iPhone doesn't have a passcode or the iPhone won't give you the option to enter it, then you're going to need to contact Apple Support and see if they can help you:

iPhone - Official Apple Support

Be prepared to provide proof that you own the iPhone, such as an original sales receipt showing your name and the serial number of the iPhone, and proof of your identity. No guarantees, but at this point that is your only recourse.

Thank you for your reply, Actually I found solution. I logged into web https://appleid.apple.com and then removed device from iCloud. Then setup iPhone again. Everything works fine now.
