idecachedeleteappextension quits

This extension quits and opens a window. If I close the window it opens again in a few seconds so I have been leaving it open.

Can anyone tell me what this is and how to solve the problem?

Found the solution on Macrumors. Had to open Xcode and let it finished installing whatever – I chose to not install any other components but, it still went ahead and installed something. Closed Xcode and no more crashes from idecachedeleteappextension.

Really, this should not happen. App Store should update Xcode fully when asked.

It is generally a good computer practice to alway keep at least 20% to 25% of the Total Drive Capacity’s as Empty Space.

Allowing the computer to drop below these guidelines may eventually, cause unintended consequences.

There is Purgeable Space and there is Empty Space.

Purgeable Space which is Controlled by the Operating System. When the Operating Systems decides the computer needs additional Empty Space, it will move a portion of the Purgeable to Empty space

AFAIK - there is no User Actions to hasten this transition from Purgeable to Empty Space

It can day or longer before this will occur.

To have a more accurate reading of Empty Space versus Used Space

Maybe it has to do with disk space, but that's not the main reason. As others note they have plenty of free disk space. I have a 2Tb SSD on my macbook pro and there is 1.2Tb free. I get this error multiple times nightly and during the day so that makes no sense. I did finish installing Xcode so I will wait and see. And really, 25% free space or bad things happen, how useless is the disk management software.

Anyway, as @Garry Brooke points out, this should not happen, very poor QC and the fact that it's still happening with Sonoma 14.6.1 is just rubbish.
