AirPods Pro (G1/Lightning) makes a squealing sound when touching them.
I had my AirPods Pro (Gen1) replaced under the static noise recall. They were working great but in the past month or so they have been generating a loud, deafening squealing sound when it is pressed upon. Touching them like this happens because the APP do move when squeezing the stems to control playback and transparency modes. Also, if wearing them while laying down and I roll over onto one side on a pillow the squealing happens, very loud possibly ear damaging squealing.
This appears to be related to the ANC since if ANC is turned-off there's no problem, if Transparency or Noise Cancelation is turned on it squeals. I do understand that the way ANC works is to create a frequency to cancel out the incoming ambient noise. I have a pair of ANC earplugs and I have the same feedback squealing with those (they aren't for audio, just ANC).
I've seen a bunch of other posts on Apple.com and other websites regarding this problem. I've reset the APP (A2084), I've made sure the firmware is updated (6A326), I've replace the APP Tips, I've tried bigger, smaller, still the same problem. It seems like maybe a bug in whatever firmware it was updated to since the hardware hasn't changed but the firmware has.
The problem occurs more often on the right side compared to the left, but I can make it happen on the left if I touch either APP.
