M3 Mac Pro 16 Base model SB Static Electricity problem

I recently purchase this mac and am facing little static voltage passing when my mac is being charged with the provided charger from apple. Interestingly enough it is more noticeable towards the magsafe and behing the display. I can feel it more when i touch it one finger or two when charging and feeling goes away when i use a palm or a large body of contact? is this normal ? is there any fix?

Because the highest voltage supplied by power adapters and similar devices in ordinary operation of your Mac is only about 20 Volts DC, there is no requirement that it have the through-ground (required by large motorized appliances like refrigerators or washing machines).

there is a possibility that a minute problem inside the power adapter could lead to a very, very low-current leakage of power that gets coupled to the case and gives you a tingle, typically only when charging.

If you use the grounded accessory AC "extension cord", this minute voltage leak is grounded out before it leaves the power adapter, Provided your wall power outlet is properly grounded.

The grounded "extension cord" provides a work-around for about US$20.

You can probably fix it by buying a new power adapter, about US$80 to $100.

if out of warranty, the solution is clear.

Keep in mind a power/surge strip could also be faulty or it could be the home electrical wiring as suggested by @BobTheFisherman....could just be one electrical outlet or circuit.

If your region supports a third prong for a ground connection on the electrical outlet, then you can use a grounded Power Extension Cable (aka AC Cord) such as this one for the US region....you would need one compatible with your region of course assuming they support a ground pin. I personally do not care for the default Duckhead adapter Apple provides as I have seen too many failures with them.

Make sure to disconnect all other external devices....especially ones which have their own independent power supplies since one or more of them could be causing problems as well. When using self powered external devices, you want to make sure they are all connected to the same electrical circuit to minimize issues.
