Compromised Wallet

Express my concern and frustration regarding a recent issue with my Apple account.

I discovered that my Apple account was compromised. Initially, there was an unauthorized charge of 12.99, which I reported to Apple. Despite my efforts to resolve the issue, Apple declined to refund this amount, which I accepted, hoping to avoid further complications.

However, my situation has worsened. Recently, I noticed an additional unauthorized charge of 199.99 on my bank account, which I reported immediately. Despite my prompt action and attempts to address the matter with Apple Support, I have not received a satisfactory resolution or assistance in recovering the lost funds.

This situation has caused significant distress and financial inconvenience. I trusted Apple to safeguard my account and personal information, and I am disappointed with the lack of effective support and resolution provided so far.

I kindly request the following actions:

1. A thorough investigation into the unauthorized access to my account.

2. A refund of the 199.99 charge, along with any additional costs incurred due to this issue.

3. Enhanced security measures to prevent future incidents and a review of my account's security settings.

Apple Support Community is a public discussion forum for fellow Apple users to assist each other and share tips and solutions. Apple hosts the community, but is not a participant and will never read your comment. If included a link below to report the issue to Apple, but if you have requested a refund and been denied your request, Apple has made their decision.

Your Apple Account is not compromised nor is your Wallet app. What’s compromised is your credit or debit card that you linked to your Apple Account. The number or chip was skimmed when you used it at an ATM, grocery store, restaurant, gas station etc. The information was sold on the Dark Web and was used to make purchases by fraudsters. Report the fraudulent use of the card to the bank that issued the card and to your local police.

Your bank approved the purchases, the bank is responsible for the fraudulent charges. Many banks and payment networks (MasterCard, Visa, American Express etc.) offer fraud protection. Good luck.
