OMNY Fare Charges in Apple Wallet

I recently visited NYC for a few days. I exclusively used public transit subways and Airtrains to get around. At no point did I create an OMNY account to access rides. There were ads and banners everywhere promoting 'tap to pay'. I did just that. I used my digital Apple Card for every ride.

Now, home two days after the trip and I am still not seeing any of the ride fares in my Apple Wallet transaction history. I used the same digital Apple Card for all other purchases during the trip, and all of those purchases are visible in the transaction history.

Where can I view my transaction history for MTA transit fares?

Why are not listed in my transaction history? What makes those transactions any different than food purchases?

Apple Wallet doesn’t have a transaction history. Individual cards have a history but some banks limit the number of transactions you can see or for how long you can see them in Apple Wallet. You can see complete lists of transactions in the mobile app or banks secure website that issued the card you used.

When you say Apple Card, do you mean Apple Card Mastercard or Apple Cash card?

Thank you so much for the update. This is good information. Just explain why merchants do this, if they submit charges in very large batches, they can get slightly lower charges from the PNO operator and other parties involved. What’s this mean? Submit 1,000,000 transaction that are a 1/10 of 1% and you saved $1,000. Do that for every days transactions and the end of the year you saved $365,000. Yes, it’s an inconvenience to the cardholder, but a savings for the company.
