Unable to restart Mac and getting error "Failed to activate device"

I wanted to give my sister my macbook and I can't restart it, I just get "activation failed", what should I do, please help.

Hi,

You need to input your Apple ID and its password to unlock activate your MacBook Pro.

This is a disgrace. Brand new MacBook... Bricked. No comments from Apple so far even though several people are having the same issue.

I don't know. This might be my last Mac if Apple doesn't fix this ASAP.

Me too, I bought a new macbook air m3 a week ago and got it when I reset the settings, vpn does not help, apple, what should we do?!
