Can iPhone SE Gen 3 update to iOS 18?

In Apple headquarters (Cupertino, CA, USA), it is currently a few minutes after 5 pm on September 15.

Apple did not promise to release iOS 18 for download the instant the date turns September 16, 2024 – their time. Let alone promise to release iOS 18 the previous day. You will have to wait like everyone else.

It won’t be released until some time during the day.

It is usually released around 10 AM US Pacific time. But you would be wise to wait a few days and see if there are any serious issues reported with the release, and also to avoid the rush, as the 500 million eligible phone users all try to update at the same time. In theory, the million or so beta testers have found the major issues, but some may sneak by.

One of my friends downloaded it about an hour ago and now only gets a black screen. She has an iPhone 15 and it is glitching bad. Had no problems before the update. I have a iPhone 15 pro and haven’t been offered IOS 18 yet. I have automatic updates on and my phone just updated to iOS 17.7 about 30 minutes ago and says it is up to date.

iOS 18 will not be released for approximately 20 more hours.

There are 24 hours during 16 September. iOS is scheduled to be released sometime during those 24 hours.

Remember that Apple is in the U.S. Pacific Time Zone, so they may on that clock.

It’s not 5:30 pm Eastern Time on September 17th and I still haven’t been offered iOS 18. 🤷🏻‍♀️
