Menu bar black on black in fullscreen or not showing icons in Google Chrome

When I enter fullscreen on my M1 MacBook air in Google Chrome, the menu bar just turns into one black bar. I can click the icons, but can't see time or the icons. Like, I can click them, but can't see them. The font colour might be black on the black menu bar colour or the icons are just not there at all. I can only see them when I exit fullscreen and am on the home screen. Strangely, the only place I've found this to happen is in Google Chrome. No other app has this problem.
