Unfair purchase of the apple watch ultra 2

No one told me a 2025 Chevy Corvette was coming out when I bought my 2024 Corvette in February 2024. Do you think the dealer will let me swap? I didn’t drive it much. I promise.

Yes, a little sarcastic, but historically Apple Watches (with a few exceptions due to COVID and related issues, are introduced every fall. Apple introduces new iPhones almost every fall. Other products may be on longer than 12 month product introduction paths.

Your watch still does everything it did the day your bought and with proper card will last you a long time with only relatively minor repair updates like new batteries. Good luck with your new Ultra 2 and enjoy your great watch!

I would add that the Milanese loop, though nice, can interfere with the compass.

Have you explored any of the (very many) third-party band options?

With any hardware, there is always going to be something better right around the corner. Of course you could not expect Apple to exchange a band on a 7 month old device, but you do have the trade in option for the newer model Ultra 2 watch.
