Apple Watch (Series 8) Sending Multiple Calendar Event Responses When Dismissing Reminders

Here's the situation for the bug. I have successfully reproduced it.

1. My work calendar (Office 365) is successfully syncing with my iPhone (iOS 17.6.1) and Apple Watch (WatchOS 10.6.1, but this bug has happened on previous builds of both).
2. I receive an event invitation on Outlook (web version, desktop, doesn't matter) and accept it through Outlook.
3. The event successfully syncs with my phone and watch calendars.
4. When I receive an event notification (usually 15 min prior to the meeting), it successfully pops up on my watch.
5. *BUG* When I dismiss the reminder notification on my watch by swiping down on it, it resends an invite acceptance to the organizer, sometimes multiple within seconds, and sometimes REMOVES the event from my calendar (both phone and on Office 365). This gets especially chaotic when it happens with a recurring event, as the watch will sometimes send multiple responses to past events and/or the current one.

This same bug happens sometimes if I am the organizer. When I dismiss the notification on my watch, it will send repeat meeting invitations to the recipients. Sometimes it will resend invites for PAST event occurrences in a series that were edited in the past, up to months ago.

That is especially confusing for the recipients if they do not happen to see the event date for the repeat invite. I've had recipients think a meeting is cancelled because a repeat cancellation notice was sent for an occurrence that actually was cancelled months ago.

This bug has been happening for years and I only just recently realized it had something to do with the watch notifications.

I'll also add that I recently did a reset on my watch to fix calendar syncing issues. The reset worked for syncing, but has not resolved this issue, and this issue has been occurring since before the syncing problems. Before that reset, I tried all the low hanging fruit fixes, such resetting network settings, turning off/on calendar sync, etc.

Please help! In the meantime, I will be avoiding dismissing calendar notifications on my watch.
