issues with 3rd party widgets after updating to iOS 18

I've just updated my iPhone 14 Pro Max to iOS 18 and now i'm having several issues with my 3rd party widgets. My Spotify, Tape and Kasa widgets no longer work. They no longer show up in the normal list where you can add them from and the Kasa app has lost all my smart devices since updating to.

Anybody else having these issues?

I would try deleting the apps and reinstalling them.

Same for me with the Kasa widget - it’s just no longer there in iOS 18. I can’t say anything about the other widgets as I don’t use them. TP-Link have replied to someone querying this issue here…

The reply from the TP-Link support suggests that this issue should have been known about by Apple and 3rd party developers for quite some time given the time taken to develop and test the new iOS version. Hopefully we’ll all soon see new app updates that restore the widget functionality we’ve probably all grown to enjoy.

Third-party developers have access to the beta for about six months before the new version of iOS is released. It's entirely incumbent upon them to make sure their apps work correctly. But, for whatever reasons, some of them don't mange to get it together in time.
