Webpage summarize doesn't work in Safari in macOS Sequoia in Sweden

As a person with dyslexia I was very excited about the webpage summarize feature that was coming to Safari in macOS Sequoia. I know it won't be available for webpages written in Swedish (I live in Sweden), but it seemed like it would still be available when visiting websites written in English. But even when I visit USA's top news websites and click on articles on my M1 MacBook Air, there's no visible option to summarize webpages. Only a button that says "Visa läsare" which just shows the regular text reader.

Same thing here!

I’m in Finland (Hi neighbor! 👋🏽) and just spend over €2000 on the new iPhone 16 Pro Max! I was very excited to have the summarization option for English (U.S.) written websites on my iPhone with iOS 18.0 and with macOS Sequoia 15.0, since English is one of my native languages and especially because, I as well, have dyslexia on top of my ADHD.

I’ve spent 2 days now trying to get it to work. Most videos I see on YouTube or articles I read on Reddit say it’s working, but no matter what settings I change or turn on or off, it doesn’t show up. The distraction removes does show up but not the summarization tool.

Are Europeans getting f**ked over? What is this? I read somewhere that it only works in the U.S. ?!?!!!

Kind regards 😏

Hello neighbor! 👋 Unfortunately, Apple has decided to not bring Apple Intelligence to the EU which means we are not getting any AI features in our iPhone, iPad, Mac and other Apple devices. Since webpage summarize is an AI feature, it means Apple won't bring it to the EU. Very sad that Apple doesn't bring this important accessibility features to the EU, I understand that they don't have their AI trained on other languages but it should still work when visiting websites in English. I feel forgotten and ignored by Apple. 🫤
