I am unable to sync iTunes from mac to my new iPhone

I have tried every conceivable recommendation for syncing my iTunes on my mac to my new iPhone. I get partial sync at best and have been forced to user Waltr Pro to be able to put music onto my phone as iTunes will not sync nor move files to my phone. Does anyone have any manner of luck to sync their devices anymore?
