iMac Pro has problems with Thunderbolt 3 connections.

i have :

1 HD native Thunderbotl2 powered itself with its' adaptor

1 Lacie littlebig thunderbolt2 powered itself with its' adaptor

1 Pegasus R6 thunderbolt2 powered itself .

But the iMac Pro can not get 3 devices at the same time.

always only 2, no matter how i've tried to connect them to the iMac Pro,---> at 3 seperate tb3 ports ( via adaptor TB3-tb2) or by daisychain them.

Mac OS Monterey 12.7

My very old Mac Pro trashcan can do this.

Tried on Mac Studio M1 Max and got same problem.

Any advice guys? Many Thanks!

The Apple Thunderbolt 3-to-2 adapter does not transmit power from one side to the other. Just Thunderbolt data. But the OP said that all three of his Thunderbolt 2 devices have their own power sources.

It should be possible to connect all three Thunderbolt 2 devices, whether through Thunderbolt 2 daisy-chaining (if the devices have two Thunderbolt 2 ports, to support it), or through using three TB3-to-2 adapters and three host ports. If I remember correctly, a Thunderbolt chain can support up to six devices.

So it's not clear what is going on.
