OWC Express 1M2 running slower than expected

After reading advice in this community, it seemed the best option to upgrade the 1TB Fusion drive in my 2019 iMac was with an OWC Express 1M2 running connected via Thunderbolt 3 (as my startup drive). Job done and everything is working smoothly, however there's little or no improvement in the read and write speeds. I've run EtreCheck but nothing stands out to (limited) knowledge. Do the speeds below seem low or is that all I should expect? Hoping I haven't wasted my money.. I was disappointed to see very little difference in Read & Write speed.

For anyone who's interested, I found the answer on OWC's macsales website:

Real-World Speed for an Express 1M2 connected to Thunderbolt 3 port on an Intel Mac is 990MB/s.

So my setup is operating within spec. My mistake for not finding this data before making the purchase.

Update: I've taken more accurate readings of the OWC Express 1M2 and my Macintosh (Fusion) HD, this time without iCloud drive competing. The OWC is definitely slower. Plus is takes 3 minutes to boot the Mac, versus 1 minute for the Fusion drive. Are these the speeds I should expect from the OWC Express 1M2 over Thunderbolt 3 on a 2019 iMac?
