Leveling Menu Bar and Camera Notch

After buying a MacBook Air, I'm pretty sure the Menu Bar and the camera notch were the same height. However, after updating to Sequoia, I noticed that the Menu Bar became slightly bigger. I've looked everywhere for a way to revert it, but found nothing. How can I make the Menu Bar and the camera notch the same height? (Seems like a logical thing to me.)

I don't have a Mac with a notch (still on an Intel MBP) but a quick search gets post from three years ago saying the menu bar is a bit taller than the notch, so this does not appear to be anything new.

My humble suggestion: use Dark Mode, and/or a background that makes the menu bar be black, and the notch with all but disappear from sight, blending in with the menu bar.
