The screen on 2010 iMac i3 has suddenly stopped working. The computer appears to be still working

I was using it to deal with emails and the screen went black. I’ve restarted it a few times waiting hours before trying again, but no luck. The computer makes all the usual start up noises so appears to be working normally. Any ideas on what else I can try? Thanks. Best wishes Amer

It’s probably a good idea to start shopping for a new machine.

That machine isn’t worth the cost of fixing it.

You may be able to use an external monitor to get it running and back up your data if it’s not already backed up.

Failing that, you can remove the hard drive and put it in an external enclosure to connect to your new Mac and migrate the data.
