Update ios 16 To 18 it will be good or bad?

Hey, my phone model is Iphone 13 pro, and I wasn’t updated to ios 17 because, fear of green line issue, now my phone getting ios 18 update notice, can any one tell me, if there any risk to update ios 16.6.2 To ios 18 without update ios 17?
