Is a Brother DCP-L2540DW Laser Printer compatible with MacOS Sequoia

I have not yet upgraded my MacBook Pro M3 to MacOS Sequoia. I saw the Brother page for compatibility but they have not yet updated the page to confirm MacOS Sequoia compatibility. Have any MacOS Sequoia users been able to print to the Brother DCP-L2540DW Laser Printer?

Just one comment. Since the Brother DCP-L2540DW is listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support (en-us, August 21, 2024), it would probably be reasonable to expect the printer to work with macOS Sequoia. This if the printer and the Mac computer are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router). However, only the printer manufacturer can provide compatibility details, and say whether a printer firmware update will be needed and made available.

AirPrint works with wireless (Wi-Fi) or wired (Ethernet) network connections. An Ethernet printer connection to one of the LAN ports of a Wi-Fi router may offer better stability.

I have had AirPrint capable printers since 2011, and I have NEVER needed to install drivers, and the printers have worked on every version of macOS since 2011 (as well as my iPhone and iPad devices). I would fully expect any AirPrint printer to be compatible with Sequoia.

Thanks Bob,

Your and Jan's comments indicate I should have no problems since I do print with AirPrint.

Sequoia is not working on my intel iMac and M2 MacBook Air running Sequoia 15.0.  I have chatted with Brother twice - they do not have a forecast date to fix it.  My printer is HL-L2315D.  I figured out a temporary workaround, I do not know how long it will last.  I got the IP address of the printer which is connected via Wi-Fi to my router.  Next, I added a printer IP option (the middle symbol in the add printer window that shows a globe).  I selected "Internet Printing Protocol". I think I selected "CUPS" for "use" (make sure the printer is turned on and connected to the WIFI.  The router might change the IP address in the future since I do not have a static IP address.  I'm hoping Brother will fix it before it becomes a bigger hassle.
