Can I update a refurbished iPhone to iOS 18?

I bought my phone in China and it turned out to be refurbished , I want to upgrade to the new version of ios, but I'm afraid because I don't know what parts were used for this phone. Is there any chance of blocking old devices migrating to a new os version when using parts of locked phones?

Yes, if the iPhone is still a new enough model to get IOS 18 then it I would assume it would be totally fine. I have known several people who bought refurbished IPhones and updated them to the latest IOS update. If you don’t already have any warnings about something not working displayed in your settings then you should be good 👍
