Orange dot in Dynamic Island on iPhone

I can verify this. Same for me.

If you have Vocal Shortcuts on, you will see the orange dot in the Dynamic Island. If you turn Vocal Shortcuts off, the orange dot goes away.

I had created a Vocal Shortcut and after that, I noticed that the orange dot was always there, once I turned off Vocal Shortcut, the dot went away.

I assume that because it's a vocal command you are giving to your phone, the mic is always on, but again, once I turned it off, the orange dot went away.

This was the culprit on my phone, so if you don't have it turned on, then it's probably something else.

Settings>Accessibility>Vocal Shortcuts.

Open the Control Center. It should tell you what is using the mic.

An orange dot in the Dynamic Island on an iPhone 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max indicates that an app is using the microphone.

Do you have Siri enabled? Obviously, it has to use the mike.

Are you seeing this when you're on a call?

Mine is also doing this since I got my new iPhone 16 pro and I’ve closed every app but still mic is on!

as guided by others, I prevented all apps from using microphone, but the orange dot is there still. So how do I know who is trying to listen what is going on

I don’t have any created shortcuts yet it’s on even after turning Siri off.
