Is Quicken 2017 compatible with macOS 15 Sequoia?

For what it's worth, I understand your dilemma. I could never find a copy of the 2017 Quicken and was forced to try out some other products which were never as good.

This doesn't answer your question directly, but you might want to try something that I didn't get to try until it was too late. VMware will give Fusion to individuals for personal use now for free (used to be I had to pay for it). I've used it to run everything from Windows 7 to 10 for some apps that I just can't get for Mac. Since you know that Q2017 runs well with Sonoma, why don't you get a free copy of Fusion and create a virtual machine for Sonoma? Then when you want to load Sequoia onto your platform, you can do it without the risk of losing your current Quicken/Sonoma environment.

Used to use Quicken many moons ago and gave up as newer versions of macOS became available

Moved to http://moneydance.com/ since about macOS 11 Big Sur and still using the current version of Moneydance which is coded with Universal Binaries

There are three categories / types of software that can run on the Operations System.

Only Intel Binary Code. This software will invoke Rosetta 2 to translate the Intel binaries so the operating system can understand and execute the Application. The Applications must be 64 Bit to function on Big Sur, Monterey and Ventura / Sonoma

Universal Binary Software.  It contains Both Intel and M1/ M2 / M3 ARMs binary code and refer to (  Universal 2 ) When the user installs a 64 bit Application that contains Both Intel and M1 / M2/ M3  ARMs binaries - depending on factors, the Operating System may or may not invoke Rosetta 2.

That would make perfect sense since. It is specifically designed to operate only on Apple Silicon M1 / M2 / M3 ARMs based computers

I've been using Quicken 2017 version 4.8.6 on a new Mac running Sequoia 15.0.1 and it works for me. I use it just with my inputs for checking accounts and only my input, no linked bank accounts, etc. My data is now from 2011 to now.

I too am waiting to hear if Quicken 17 is compatible with Sequoia before I try to update. Running the same IOS version as you, 14.7 Sonoma. I checked out Quicken's site but there was no information regarding Quicken 2017

We have a similar question - We're using Q15 (the BF introduced me to Q07, the BEST finance app we've found) and are leery about OS updates since one a few years ago didn't work with Q07
