iOS 18 iCloud mail does not sync with other devices; all other mail accounts work fine

Yesterday I did upgrade my main devices: iPhone to iOS 18, iPad Pro to iPadOS18 and Mac to Sequoia. Everything worked fine, but I have an issue with my iCloud email account: all actions sync between iPad and Mac, but iPhone is not syncing properly. All other configured email accounts sync fine.

I already tried to logout from iCloud, restart my device and log back in my iPhone and it did not work.

Next best thing could be to perform a reset, but I would like to save time... Has anyone experienced this issue as well?

OS:

  • iOS18.0
  • iPadOS 18.0
  • Sequoia 15.0

Latest update: I did sign out, restarted my iPhone, had to login back again (which implies to download your entire information from iCloud - photos, notes, emails, messages, etc, which took a considerable time), and after a couple of hours the issue seemed to be resolved. It was a uncomfortable solution, involving friction and time… even had to reactivate my cards on Wallet…

I was able to fix this by logging out of my iCloud account on my iPad and then logging back in using my phone.

On iPad: Settings-> Your Name -> Sign Out (bottom of Screen)

Then I went back in and resigned in and chose the option to “use a nearby device” and signed in from my iPhone.

I was only trying to sync these two devices so I suspect you’d have to do the same on your other devices as well.

My issue was the same for 3 email accounts: iCloud mail and Yahoo mail all nested in the Apple Mail App. Just got off the call with the support agend and we tried resetting the network settings, pushing email manually, deselecting the iCloud email and selecting again. None of which worked.

The solution (which worked in my case), was to:

  1. Reinstall the email app (remove and install again)
  2. Go to inbox, and next to the 'Select' Button, click on the 3 dots
  3. Select the List View

Hope that helps to others.

My mail is not syncing. When I delete an email on my phone, it still appears on my computer. But it works if I delete on my computer, then it is deleted on my phone. I've tried restarting my computer. Turning my phone on and off. Checking to make sure everything is turned on and I'm signed in on all devices.

So something on my computer email is not syncing with my other devices. What else can I do? HELP!!

I am having a problem with my email as well. I just purchased my iPad and upgraded to iOS 18, and my email will not sync properly, nor with my texts. My email will show, let’s say 12 emails that are new, which matches my phone, but the iPad will not populate the emails. Some texts come through, but not many - I can’t figure our why it is so random.
