I am using 15 pro max and AirPods Pro 2. After updating ios 18, in game sound of pubg/ Bgmi is not clear as it was used to be before, I am not able to hear the footsteps clearly, sound have changed a lot, I have using the same device and AirPods their was no issues, but after ios update. I am not able to play the game nicely

Hello everyone, I can see lot of you are having the sound issue after the update. The way to fix this is if you all are using AirPods make sure to turn off the Spatial Audio setting for it and the sound will be as good as the way it was before.
You will find that settings in AirPods section or just search it in settings

Disconnect any legacy Bluetooth devices paired to your phone when sharing the bandwidth with the Airpods because they are causing the Bluetooth protocal to downgrade to maintain compatability. Even an old iWatch can cause the new H2 chip to glitch.

I was facing the same issue.
The solution that worked for me is turning off the spatial stereo of AirPods Pro 2
bro I fixed it. First you should turn off noise control. Than turn off spatial audio ..I fixed it with this way .. hope it will help you .
The only immediate solution I could see was to downgrade to ios 17.6 something
and that's what I did
I have the same issue, I’m using iPhone 13 Pro and AirPods Pro 1st. After I updated to iOS 18 the in game sound while playing pubg mobile is so horrible I can’t tell the difference between my own footsteps and enemies. Everything was just so good and smooth before iOS 18 that now everything is ruined so @Apple please fix this ASAP or if anyone finds a solution please let me know thank you!
I have same issue. While playing PUBG. I can hear my own footsteps and not able to differentiate between enemies and mine. I use Iphone 16 pro + Airpod 4 with Active noise cancellation. Pubg please fix this
