Home Screen on my iPhone 14 Pro flickers after updating to iOS 18

I have seen these issues in the past. There were 2 possible options.

1 hardware defect. This means you will need a screen replacement. The problem is that this hardware defect might become present when updating and having a non-original Apple screen installed. At that moment I have seen cases where the screen bricks and basically stays bricked no matter what. The downside is that you can't replace your screen at Apple anymore if it has a non-original part if I remember correctly.

2 The more likely one, is a software bug. In that case, I recommend the following.

1. Press and quickly release the volume up button
2. Press and quickly release the volume down button
3. Press and hold the side button and hold until the phone turns off
4. When the Apple logo appears, release the button and let the phone boot up

Try a forced restart.

• Press and quickly release the volume up button

• Press and quickly release the volume down button

• Press and hold the side button.

• When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

I’ve seen some other people facing this issue, and there are a couple of fixes that I figured will work.

First thing you should try is a force restart:

1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.

2. Press and quickly release the volume down button.

3. Press and hold the side button until your iPhone restarts and you see the Apple logo.

For a more advanced fix (in case force restart doesn’t work), you can try reinstalling your iOS using tools like ReiBoot or 3uTools. They work very well.

Lastly, if that doesn’t work either, it’s best to get in touch with Apple Support and see if it’s a hardware issue.

Yes, downloaded iOS 18 and have noticed that the screen is jumping either within apps or when typing messages. (Especially noticeable in WhatsApp). Have done forced restart twice and problem is still persisting. Very annoying.

Also noticing that when you check storage, percentage used and remaining is changing extremely erratically and not consistently and seems misleading.

Today my day was very worst , total 4hr my Screen was flickering, Glitches , Green White screen . 3days before I update ios 18.0 . my phone was iphone 14 Pro Max

I’m also having this issue but with the 16 Pro Max. It also occurs when I wake the screen from always on display. Didn’t notice the issue with my 15 Pro Max before on iOS 18.

same! mine just started acting up randomly while checking notifications. now it’s also crashing so many apps - NEVER been through this before.

Same for me. Full screen is flickering during phone calls, widgets are flickering on home screen and also the battery is draining faster.
