After updating my Apple watch 8 to watchOS11 yesterday and charging for 9 hours, the battery only went from 56% to 79%. If anybody knows a fix it will be appreciated! I turned it off and back on the charger for 2 hours the charged stayed at 79%, after a force restart same situation….
Any chance, you have Optimised Charging and/or Charge Limit enabled?

Good morning and thank you for taking the time! I just checked and it is activated, but a second force restart seem to have fixed the problem while optimised charged is still activated🤷🏻♂️. Could it be that after the update it was in ‘’learning’’ mode?? It did not happen on my wife’s watch….Go figure. Stop by anytime for coffee! ✌🏻

After an watchOS upgrade, there are a lot of things going on in the background. But, a force restart can cure some glitches after installing software or apps.
