apple mail aborts after upgrading iMac to Sonoma 14.7.

iMac 21.5 2019 with 3.6 GHZ Quad Core Intel RAM 32GB

After I upgraded to comply with the security requirements Apple Mail starts and aborts after a few seconds flashing a red screen. All other applications work.

Any useful ideas?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 14.7
