Receiver (iOS 15) cannot see or hear me(iOS 18) on Facetime

My friend who hasn’t update her iPhone 11 and is still on iOS 15 cannot see or hear me on FaceTime. She has her reasons not to update (mostly space constraints) although it was working perfectly when my iPhone 13 was on iOS 17. I updated to iOS 18 and this issue started to occur. Video call on WhatsApp works fine. I tried to call my other friend who is on iOS 17 on his iPhone 11 and it worked perfectly. Has anyone faced such issues after update?
